Quality is not a phase. It's a posture.
The challenge
The provider runs a mobile banking and payments platform in a demanding environment: high transaction volume, real money, strict regulatory oversight. As the product grew, the test surface grew with it — and the team was still testing by hand. Manual testing could not keep up: every new feature lengthened the regression cycle, pushed up cost, and slowed releases, while the regulatory bar meant nothing could ship without thorough, demonstrable coverage. The faster they needed to move, the more manual testing held them back.
Our approach
Ariviti embedded a quality-engineering team alongside the provider's developers and built automated testing designed around the product, not bolted onto it — starting from a deep understanding of the application, then a strategy combining unit, integration, and end-to-end coverage. The implementation used Selenium and CodeceptJS for automation, integrated with Jira for test management and wired into a CI/CD pipeline, so tests run on every change: issues surface early and regulatory coverage is demonstrable rather than asserted. Delivered through Ariviti's Virtual Technology Office (VTO) model — outcome-owned quality engineering accountable for release confidence, which grew into a multi-project partnership.
The result
Faster release cycles, lower testing cost, regulatory compliance held with demonstrable repeatable coverage, and higher application quality — issues caught early in CI rather than late in production. The engagement expanded beyond its first mandate.
