The challenge
In community health and home care, chart audit and approval determines compliance, operational efficiency, and whether the organisation gets paid on time. The provider's clinical operations team did all of it by hand. When volume spiked, the backlog grew, turnaround slowed, and documentation-error risk climbed at the moment the margin for error was zero. Different chart types each needed different review logic, and a rejected chart often came with vague feedback that drove rework, delayed approvals, and delayed billing. Scaling the specialist team linearly was slow, expensive, and burning people out.
Our approach
Ariviti built a configurable chart-audit automation platform on TurfAI, which supplied the reasoning, orchestration, governance, and auditability. Charts are routed by type and review logic; TurfAI evaluates every reviewable element against chart-type rules and documentation standards, returns an approve/reject/escalate decision with a confidence score and full reasoning, and generates specific rejection reasons with targeted correction guidance. In HITL mode a clinician validates before anything is final; in auto-pilot, charts clearing confidence thresholds move automatically. Outcomes flow into real-time dashboards and 100% auditable reports. Delivered through Ariviti's Virtual Technology Office (VTO) model on a Bring-Your-Own-Cloud deployment — data stayed in the provider's own cloud — live within six months and extensible to a new chart type in about a week.
